I like this pen, it's fine like a pencil, but doesn't get smeared or lost over time as a pencil does. It's also small and travels well. Durable too with replaceable ink cartridges to reduce waste.

To take notes I really like these simple bamboo notebooks. Similar to a moleskin but cheaper to buy and made of a quickly replenishing resource. They've been nicely durable during my travels and events. Personally I'm a fan of the small (not the mini) which are about the size of my hand. Each page hold my perfect amount - 1 idea & 1 reflection/elaboration.
